As a required next step in our development approval process, Patuxent Commons will be the subject of a Pre-submission Community Meeting on Thursday, November 5 at 6:30pm. The purpose of the meeting will be to provide information to the community regarding the initial submission of a site development plan to the Howard County Department of Planning & Zoning. Mission First and other members of the Patuxent Commons team will be on hand to make a presentation about the project and answer and address any questions community members may have.
This is an exciting milestone in the project’s development. Please join us! For more information and access to the meeting link, click here.
Parade magazine’s cover story “How America Lives: Creative Housing Options for Boomers, Veterans, Millennials and More” referenced the concept being adapted at Patuxent Commons and featured Bastion, a community in New Orleans for Wounded Warrior veterans and other supportive neighbors based on the same intergenerational community model.
The project was the subject of a 2018 feature article in The Business Monthly titled “Innovation and Inclusivity Driving New Housing Initiative in Howard County.”
